Spring in the park in the town of Warminster is returning on the 5th of May, bigger and bolder than ever! Based at the town’s Lake Pleasure Grounds and starting at 10:30 a.m., the event is sure to make a fun-filled day for all visitors.
With over 80 stalls and much amusement for all ages, this event will be sure to start sunny spring the right way. The entertainment schedule includes a dog show where townspeople can sign their beloved pets under different categories, the town’s very own rock choir, a tug of war, and much more.
For animal lovers, there will be a petting farm and donkey rides for the children, as sponsored by Farnfields Solicitors. The dog show will run throughout the day; the first competition begins at 11:30 a.m., and the last competition begins at 13:45 p.m. Sponsored by Garston Vets, the dog show costs £3 per entry, and every entered dog receives a rosette while the winners receive an additional prize.
For people interested in sports and leisure activities, archery will be available in the Lake Pleasure Grounds to try out. As well as this, people can participate in boating on the lakes while being mindful of the wildlife nearby. People can also enter a team into the tug-of-war competition for the chance of winning £50.
For children, they may enjoy the face painting stalls where they can pick from a variety of designs, ranging from butterflies to superheroes to zombies. There are also fun fair stalls such as Hook a Duck, Name the Teddy, and Tin Can Alley, which are sure to keep children entertained.
If any celebrations are coming up, people may be interested in the range of stalls available at this event. This includes food stalls, sweets, toys, books, and clothes, as well as many other handmade gifts guaranteed to please.
Be sure to stop by on Sunday, May 5th, and contribute to the local community.
