Corsham 26 Trowbridge 9
Corsham Colts finished the season on a high with a good win against a strong Trowbridge side.
Second placed Trowbridge started the game the stronger of the two sides, capitalising on Corsham’s consistent penalties and headed to a 6-0 lead from their outside half.
With the scores set at 6 all, Alli Gorden powered through at centre to score under the posts.
This score ignited Corsham’s game and the flowing and the running rugby that has been their seasons trademark produced a further couple of tries in close succession for centre Jake Goldsworthy and Chris Bull.
The game was sealed by a try from prop James Chippenham who broke free from a maul running 20 metres to score under the posts, following driving runs from Captain Lewis Jones and number 8 Will Sayer.
Head coach Jason Goldsworthy said “The lads have produced some excellent rugby and to win the league unbeaten is a magnificent achievement.
Lewis Jones the captain has led the boys on and off the pitch really well and I look forward to working with him and the rest of the players next season”.
