A second meeting of the year against Walcot proved a much stiffer test than had been the case earlier in the season when Trowbridge U10 had emerged winners by quite a margin.
Walcot refused to let their heads drop throughout but Trowbridge simply proved far too strong for them, scoring 13 tries whilst conceding none over 3 games at their Green Lane home.
It is the latter statistic that is perhaps the most telling as at no point during the game did Walcot look like scoring as the Trowbridge defence again showed itself as one of their strengths, with tackles being made by all of the team.
The forwards again provided the platform for the backs to show what they could do, with strong running from David Phillips and Will Stockley playing at centre to the fore.
However, they also tried to move the ball wide with good passing from Will Thompson as well.
The first game was won by Trowbridge 35-0 with tries from captain Will Stockley (6) and James Reed who also had a great game at fly half.
It was the contribution from all the players on the field that set up the opportunities to score but the finishing of Stockley continues to be a feature.
The second game was scoreless in the first half as Walcot resisted the Trowbridge attacks and came back with several of their own.
However, in the second half the resistance wilted and Trowbridge ran in three tries from Will Stockley, James Reed and Jamie Howell.
New player Marco Lopez and returnee Haydn Brooks showed well in the game, making an impact as soon as they came on the field, including Lopez nearly scoring on his debut.
The final match was a little more open but seemed even more fiercely contested than the first two as Trowbridge gave all the players gametime.
They again emerged winners with tries from James Reed and Will Stockley (2).
All the forwards deserved the Forward of Day award but mention must also be made of Will Stockley and an accomplished game at scrum half from Sam Gibbons.
Defence is the key, for the Trowbridge team have scored 58 tries in 12 games, with only two being scored against them.
