ANGLING: THE Saturday open match at Viaduct Fishery produced good fishing.
Stuart Wood, of Viaduct, drew the golden peg worth £170 and duly went on to take top spot with a carp catch weighing 117lb 2oz, taken on long pole-fished pellets.
Mash Mashedar, of Sensas Viaduct, kept up his recent good form to take second prize with another carp catch weighing 99lb 11oz, taken on pole-fished pellets. Ken Palmer, of Bristol, used similar tactics to clinch third prize with a carp catch weighing 86lb 3oz.
The silver fish prize went to Steve Jackson, of Garbolino, with a weight of 25lb 8oz.
