WESTBURY United returned to Toolstation League Division One action on Saturday with a 1-1 draw at newcomers Sherborne Town.
A draw was certainly the fair result in a hard fought match which both teams could have won.
Westbury started quicker, with Wayne Wheeler and Marc Lanfear going close before the opening goal came on 15 minutes. Nathan Hallett passed to Tom Staddon who hit a fierce 25 yard strike that flew past home goalkeeper James Smith.
Sam Jarman missed a penalty for Sherborne in the 31st minute but the equaliser came five minutes later when Marc Caines volleyed home from a cross by Steve Burton.
