WILTSHIRE Olympic hero Ed McKeever says that he hasn’t ruled out the possibility of taking to the water again at Rio 2016 but he will give the Brazilian water a trial run before making any decisions.
The 28-year-old became the toast of the nation earlier this month as he stormed to the K1 200m gold medal at London 2012, cementing his place at the top of the canoe sprint world.
With the 2013 World Championships set to take place in Rio de Janeiro this time next year, the Bradford on Avon kayak king admits that he may be tempted to go for glory at a second Olympic Games.
“I’m not too sure what I’ll be doing next but with the World Championships being in Rio, it’s a good chance to see if I like it out there,” McKeever said.
“You never know what might happen and I don’t know if I can get better but two golds are better than one.”
