James Starr replied from close range to make it 2-1 before Mark Birleson, after several missed chances from Freshford, completed the first half score line with another excellent lob.

Semington Magpies entertained local rivals Cross Keys Rowde and should have scored at least five in the opening ten minutes but could not convert their chances.

After 20 minutes Stuart Barber broke the deadlock with a spectacular goal. A Nigel Hall corner found Barber and he smashed home a superb volley from a tight angle. Rowde got back into the game after a poor clearance from Semington keeper Shaun Jenkins fell to Adie Bridge, who rolled the ball into the empty net.

Just before half-time Dan Rimmer restored Magpies' lead, when he danced round five Rowde players and placed the ball into the top corner. Midway through the second half Rimmer got his second of the game when he pounced on a mistake by the Rowde defence. Mark James came off the bench to put the game out of reach with a neat finish into the bottom corner.
