ANGLING: THE Wednesday open match at Viaduct Fishery produced some outstanding sport, with carp feeding well.
Devizes star matchman Gary Etheridge turned in another outstanding performance to carry off top prize with a carp catch weighing 191lb 13oz, taken on waggler-fished hard pellets. Runner-up prize went to Paul Garrett, of Maver Veals, with another carp catch weighing 162lb 10oz, taken on pole-fished pellets. He was followed by Brian Curry, of Street, with a carp catch weighing 109lb 4oz, taken on pole-fished pellets and Steve Kedge, of Somerset Angling, with a mixed carp and silver fish catch weighing 100lb 8oz.
Kedge also took the silver fish prize with a weight of 70lb 8oz.
