Midsomer Norton under 15s 0, Chippenham under 15s 69

CHIPPENHAM routed the home side in this first round match in the Bristol Combination Cup.

After scoring eleven tries and seven conversions from the boot of Jake Emery, the referee brought the game to an end with 20 minutes left on the clock, otherwise the score could have been more.

Neil Jenkins led the scoring with five tries, Klaum House scored a hat-trick and singles from Harry Smith, Emery and Sloan Chippenham are now through to the quarter-finals.

CHIPPENHAM under 14s edged into the next round of the Bristol Combination Cup as the away side in a drawn game.

Chippenham started very well in the opening exchanges, putting pressure on Walcot from the off, and taking the lead after five minutes when winger Alistair Todd scored in the left hand corner.

Walcot equalised just before half-time whistle.

CHIPPENHAM went out of the cup at this age level as they were beaten by a strong Walcot side.

Walcot opened the scoring but minutes later Chippenham winger Oli Phipps ran in the visitors' first try, which was converted by Matt Watchman.

A second try for Chippenham came from second row Ollie New, but Walcot retaliated and scored two quick tries to lead at the break.

Walcot put the game beyond reach with their final try.

Scrum-half Austin Strong scored a late consolation try for Chippenham.
