COACH Ady Kember has accepted the Wiltshire Times and Chippenham News-sponsored Team of the Week award for Sunday October 15 on behalf of his club, Bromham (Sunday).
Bromham saw off the challenge of four other teams to win the award for their 2-0 win over Division Four rivals AFC Melksham, who, before Sunday had scored 37 times in five games, with the prolific Luke Ballinger claiming 20 of those goals.
Kember travelled up from Devon in the early morning to help guide his young team against the free scoring Melksham side, and he was more than pleased with the outcome of the game as his battling youngsters made his return worthwhile by sealing a 2-0 win.
Bromham's defence was solid throughout the 90 minutes, denying Melksham on numerous occasions. Bromham's win came with goals in each half, from Andy Bartlett and then 16-year-old Freddie Paget, whose second half contribution sealed Bromham's famous win.
