ANGLING: THE Wednesday open match at Landsend Fishery produced reasonable catches.
Top honours went to Gary Bedford, of Sarfix SW, with a mixed bag of carp, chub, ide and perch weighing 82lb 7oz, taken on long -ole fished casters.
Martin West, of Team Landsend, was second with a mixed bag of carp and silver fish weighing 56lb 8oz, taken on pole-fished pellets.
He was followed by star Mosella matchman Tony Rixon, with a carp catch weighing 53lb 14oz, with Nigel Duckett, of Landsend, in fourth spot with a mixed bag weighing 53lb 9oz.
Landsend Fishery was in top form for the Saturday open, with carp feeding very well.
Top honours went to Tim Clarke, of Avon Angling, with a carp catch weighing 141lb 13oz, taken on long pole shallow fished pellets.
In-form Tony Rixon, of Mosella, clinched second prize with another carp catch weighing 123lb 15oz, taken on long pole-fished pellets.
He was followed by Mark Etheridge, of Veals, with a carp catch weighing 106lb 11oz, taken on pole-fished pellets, with John Cooper, of Taunton, in fourth spot with a carp catch weighing 103lb 12oz.
