MELKSHAM Town continued their revival in the Toolstation League Premier Division with a 5-0 crushing of Keynsham at the Conigre last night.

The victory followed Melksham's surprise 4-0 win at Willand on Saturday. It was also the third consecutive game Melksham have kept a clean sheet.

Luke Ballinger put the home side in front after eight minutes when he raced onto Tim Eatough's pass and lobbed Gary Cripps in the Keynsham goal. Ben Thompson fired Melksham further ahead with a fierce left-footed strike across the goalkeeper. Adam Young made it 3-0 on the stroke of half-time when he profited from a mistake from Cripps and side-footed home from close range.

Mike Perrott capped a fine individual display with a diving header from Eatough's free kick in the 72nd minute. Perrott struck a post minutes later but the ball rebounded to Ballinger who was on hand to slot home his second and Melksham's fifth.a
