ANGLING: REPORTS being received from visiting clubs and club members indicate that the Bathampton AA stretch of the Kennet and Avon Canal is hitting top form.
Quality roach to 1lb 8oz are being caught between Ferry Lane at Claverton and the Millbrook swingbridge and these, together with tench to 2lb, skimmers to 1lb, perch to 1lb and small chub are making up lovely mixed bags.
The Bathampton area, especially from the big bend and beyond, is also worth a visit as there are loads of fish there. Skimmers to 1lb, roach to 8oz and perch to 1lb are plentiful and can be caught in numbers on pole or small waggler fished across.
