MINI RUGBY: EXCELLENT running and tagging saw CAT's under sevens gain second place at the the Wootton Bassett festival on Sunday.

Alfie Hiscock was top try scorer and Cameron Bull, Lewis Simmons, Ed Woolford and Dougie Satchell all ran in to score from some good support play. Man of the match was Ed Woolford.

The whole squad put in 100 per cent effort, with Chris Partt man of the match.

The under nines, playing full contact for the first time, lost all their games, but played well.

The CATS supported each other well, with some excellent runs and tackling. Try scorers were man of the match Mitchell Croad (2) and Jordan Wakeley (3).

Melksham CATs-Westbury under 14s 0, Trowbridge under 14s 50

THE combined CATs-Westbury team played Trowbridge in a thrilling display of good rugby.

Westham, as the fans call them, displayed some excellent forward play, but could not compete with the Trowbridge backs. who ran in eight tries, converting five of them.
