EQUESTRIAN: THERE was success for local riders in the Allen and Page Winter Dressage League at Warminster Saddle Club on Sunday.
Yard manager Vannessa Hannam placed first in the Novice 32 category on her horse Balmerino.
In the Prelim 12, Trowbridge rider Rachel Martin shared first place with Amy Lancaster of Salisbury.
Martin, riding Madam Jen, finished second to Lancaster in the Prelim 18.
Troduxhill side saddle rider Christine Wickins was also in competition on Sunday.
Wickens, who was this summer crowned adult novice side saddle rider of the year, was in good form on her home bred gelding Saker B.
She is the current area champion and capped a fine summer by winning the Classical Ladies category at the Gillingham and Shaftsbury Horse Show in August.
