WARMINSTER Town manager Peter Russell will have to wait for the results of a late fitness test on defender Ashley Wain before naming his line-up for today's Wilts Senior Cup home tie against Wiltshire League outfit Westside.

Wain has a pulled hamstring, while Greg Lewis will be missing as he is still on honeymoon in Mexico.

Of equal concern for Russell is the fitness of inspirational goalkeeper Justin Shuttlewood, who is suffering from knee trouble.

Russell said: "Justin is a major part of our side and he'll be a big loss if he's not fit. Fingers crossed he will make it.

"We got to the semi-final of this competition in 2005/6 when we lost to Corsham Town. Hopefully we can have another good run."

Biddestone v Westbury United

WESTBURY boss Paul Brickley says he won't be left running the bar after this afternoon's clash at Toolstation League First Division rivals Biddestone.

The Meadow Lane chief was roped in to pull pints by Yatton Road boss Graham Learmonth when he went to watch Biddestone play Longwell Green last season and says he'd much prefer to spend the evening drinking.

Said Brickley" "Me and Leo are good mates, but there's no way I'm getting roped into that again. He can find some other mug to do it."

Westbury will be without James Dowd, Paul Edwards, Nick Beales and Tarrick Yachou due to injury.

Meanwhile Learmonth has promised to ring the changes after Wednesday's 4-2 defeat to Larkhall.

The Biddestone boss hopes to include midfielder Gary Banks in the squad, but will have to hurry if he wants the paperwork to be completed in time.

Calne Town v Marlborough Town

THE Messenger brothers, Matty and Justin, could both feature for Calne Town against Marlborough Town after missing Saturday's thrilling FA Vase win over Pewsey Vale.

Defender Danny Jordan is also back in contention for a starting place after recovering from a knee injury.

Calne reached the semi-final last season and will be hoping for a repeat performance.

Bradford Town v Highworth Town

THE Wilts Senior Cup should take Bradford's mind off the league for one week at least when they host Hellenic League side Highworth Town.

Manager Mark Hodkinson will be without midfielder Charlie Powell and Mark Gerrish, but Pete Martin returns to the squad as does Tim Waylen, who has completed a suspension.

Trowbridge Town v Aldbourne

HELLENIC League Trowbridge Town have an unexpected week off and a bye through to the next round after their scheduled opponents Aldbourne pulled out of the competition.
