DAVE Clayton picked up his second successive victory since taking charge at Melksham Town, despite playing the majority of the match with 10 men.
Dave Macey missed an early opportunity for the home side and Dan Kovacs had two opportunities inside the opening half hour.
But the home side suffered a setback just after the 30-minute mark when Jamie Oliver was sent off for pulling back an opponent on the edge of the area.
The hosts reshuffled and got to the half-time break unscathed.
Josh Robinson fired hom four minutes after the restart, only for the offside flag to rule out the effort.
The only goal of the game arrived on the hour mark as as Gary Higdon headed Robinson's cross back across goal and Macey smashed home.
Higdon hit the post with 20 minutes to go but Melksham made it nine games without defeat comfortably.
