NORTH Wilts Ladies, previous winners of the Yetton Trophy in the 2007-08 season, began their quest for glory in the competition again today (Thursday), writes DAVE EATON.
They were facing Bristol in the top ladies inter-club championship event.
And the two clubs are due to clash again on Sunday as North Wilts mixed team have been drawn against Bristol in the second round of the Egham Trophy.
North Wilts thrashed Yate 102-58 in the first round while Bristol had an equally comprehensive victory beating Purnell 122-54.
On Saturday, North Wilts men are also in action when they face Gloucester in the second round of the Denny Cup.
In the opening round North Wilts defeated Thornbury 78-70 while Gloucester accounted for neighbours Mid Glos 83-81.
Christie Miller men made a swift exit from the Denny Cup beaten heavily by Cotswold (Stroud).
But they have a second chance and have been paired with Malvern Hills this Saturday in the consolation Denny Plate competition.
