AFC BRADFORD Town continue to lead the Premier Division following their impressive 4-1 victory over visitors Purton Reserves, writes RAY BURROUGHS.
Purton looked the stronger side in the opening 20 minutes, but the leaders fought back to take an interval lead courtesy of a strike by Steve Roddy.
Soon after the restart, Mark Robinson doubled the lead with Paul Gittens and Jack Miluk adding further goals in the closing stages.
FC Chippenham Youth left it late to take the points against Corsham Town Reserves, defender Gary Lock heading in from a corner five minutes from time.
Home boss Dave Ferris sai: "They were well organised and difficult to break down but we kept at it and the lads got their reward.”
Calne Town, two goals up at the break at Amesbury, let things slip in the second half and the home side fought back to level the scores with a 20-yard volley from Connor Palmer and a strike from Nathan Bennett.
Daniel Kidd scored at the wrong end to put Calne in front again, but Thomas Planc again levelled the scores to give the home side a share of the points.
Shrewton took a two-goal lead at the break over visitors Devizes Town Reserves with goals from Anton Brownless and Ross Bentall.
However, the visitors pulled a goal back after the interval and had the home side clinging on desperately to their goal advantage at the whistle.
Marlborough Town are proving hard to beat these days and picked up another useful point in a no-score draw away to Wroughton.
Ludgershall Sports, who had a lean spell last month, chalked up their fourth victory on the trot, beating Swindon visitors Southbrook 3-0 thanks to goals from Ben Haugaard, Nathan Strong and Damien Spanswick.
Second-in-the-table FC Sanford beat visitors Vale Of Pewsey 8-4 and Moredon Cheney moved up to third with a 3-0 win over local rivals Blsyskawica.
Match of the day in Division One was the clash between Old Town Wanderers and Box Rovers.
Both sides had won all their games played so far and after a fairly even first half the side went in at the break all square on a goal apiece.
Visitors Box had the better of the second period and eventually ran out winners 4-2.
Also in Division One, there was a welcome victory for Wilton Town, who beat Sanford Reserves 5-1.
Marlborough Town Reserves and Chippenham Youth Reserves failed to find the net and Malmesbury Vics Reserves were beaten 2-0 at home by Ashton Keynes.
In the first round of the Fountain Trophies Junior Cup holders Intel beat Marshfield 4-2.
