TROWBRIDGE Town manager Paul Blake says that the pressure is off for tomorrow’s Hellenic League Challenge Cup clash with Woodley Town and is hoping that a good performance can kickstart the Bees’ league campaign.
Trowbridge suffered their tenth defeat of the season at Hook Norton last weekend.
“It’s a nice distraction to have and hopefully the guys can go out there and express themselves and play as if it’s a cup final,” said Blake.
“I’m still positive and hopefully that will rub off on the lads because we’re still moving in the right direction. It’s just disappointing that we’re still losing.”
Dan Coles’ own goal in the opening minute set the tone in Oxfordshire, with Jonny Da Silva and Danny Poole also scoring for the hosts to round off a 3-0 defeat for Trowbridge.
