BRADFORD Town manager Paul Shanley wants to see his side be more ruthless in attack after they were held to a draw by Shrewton United on Wednesday night.

Jamie Jordan levelled the scores after the hosts fell behind but Bradford couldn’t find a winning goal.

“They scored a good goal but we got back into it pretty much straightaway and after that, we probably had 80 per cent of the play,” said Shanley.

“I think that we’re just too nice in the final third and we don’t have that desire and hunger to go for it or sometimes the quality isn’t there for the delivery.

“I’ve had to ask a few people to play up front who aren’t used to it and it’s something that we’ll have to look to address.”

Last Saturday, Bradford claimed victory at high-flying Elmore, with goals from Jordan and Dan Fowler.

Shanley’s men will be looking to spring an upset tomorrow when they travel to Premier Division Bishop Sutton in the first round proper of the FA Vase.

Striker Matt Minnis returns to the squad.
