MATT Banahan returns from the World Cup duty with England to make his first appearance of the season at inside centre and his 100th appearance for the club in tomorrow's LV= Cup clash against Newport Gwent Dragons at Rodney Parade (2.30pm).

Prop Charlie Beech, lock Will Spencer and wing Olly Woodburn will make their first starts for Bath.

For Spencer and Woodburn, it will be their first competitive appearance for the club, while academy hooker Will Tanner and Samoan prop, Anthony Perenise have both been named on the bench.

Flanker Andy Beattie will captain the side and is joined in the back row by Guy Mercer and Simon Taylor.

Dave Attwood teams up with Spencer in the engine room, with Beech scrumming down alongside Ross Batty and Mark Lilley.

Fly-half Tom Heathcote partners Mark McMillan in the half backs and Tom Biggs is selected on the opposite wing to Woodburn.

Matt Carraro starts at outside centre and Jack Cuthbert completes the line-up at full back.
