STAVERTON racer Victor Cox suffered disappointment as at the latest round of the Metzeler National Superstock 1000 at Brands Hatch last weekend when he crashed out while in a strong position.
As in recent rounds, Cox was on the pace throughout the weekend and was the highest-placed Kawasaki rider in first qualifying as he finished second quickest.
He repeated the trick in second qualifying to push his Ninja ZX-10R on to the front row of the grid.
Cox led the field on the first lap, but was then pushed down into third before, on lap five, losing three more places.
He moved back up to fourth, but on lap nine, ran off the track and parted from the bike, a medical check-up later revealing no serious injury.
