CAPTAIN Joe Breet led by example as Westbury put further distance between themselves and the relegation zone with an emphatic 136-run triumph against Bristol West Indians.
Breet, also the captain of Wiltshire clobbered an unbeaten 122-ball 147, featuring 15 boundaries, as his side amassed a formidable total.
Westbury bounced back from losing William Bagshawe third ball as Simon Rose (33) and Scott Lewis (36) helped the side past the 300 mark.
Most of the Bristol side’s bowlers took punishment, although James Pearson took 2-17 in just three overs.
Patrick Langlais scored an unbeaten 64 in West Indians’ forlorn run chase, but the damage had been done in the top order as Simon Rose’s 6-36 helped reduce the home side to 26-4 at one stage.
Richard Oakley got among the later wickets, his 3-39 helping to close out victory.
