KRIS Boulton insists he will have no hesitation playing the youngsters this season as Biddestone look to establish themselves in Gloucester and Wilts One.
The Biddestone captain believes the youth section at Yatton Road will provide a foundation for future success, with several of the club's juniors already representing the county at age-group level.
Boulton said: "The main aim this year has to be to consolidate our position in Gloucester and Wilts One, and to achieve that goal with some comfort. "We have a very successful youth set-up and we will be looking for our younger players to take the club forward."
Biddestone open their campaign with a difficult trip to Lydney on May 6 before successive home matches against Gloucester City-Winget and Swindon. South African Clint Bowyer smashed an unbeaten 50 to help Biddestone to an eight-wicket win over a Bath XI. But Boulton, who also notched an unbeaten half-century, knows there are tougher games ahead.
He said: "You look at the fixture list and realise there are no easy games. You have to target certain matches that you really need to win. I believe seven wins will be enough to avoid relegation." All-rounder Dwaine Perry, who scored 618 runs and took 32 wickets last year, will lead the charge for Biddestone, while Alan Low has also rejoined the club.
