CORSHAM Town retained the Wilts Senior Cup in dramatic fashion after a tense penalty shoot-out with rivals Melksham Town.
With just 10 seconds of extra-time remaining Melksham had one hand on the trophy, until Frank Coleman rescued the holders with the last kick of an extraordinary game to make it 2-2 and take the final to a penalty shoot-out.
Melksham goalkeeper Paul Haines had performed heroics to keep his side in the match, but even he was powerless to prevent Gary Blackwood's winning spot kick for Corsham to win 3-2 on penalties.
Reds' saviour Frank Coleman, who lives next door to Melksham's Conigre ground, said: "Melksham were superb tonight, especially their goalkeeper Paul Haines. They deserved more than to lose on penalties."
Melksham boss Kelvin Highmore said: "I've been in three finals as a manager and I've lost all three on penalties. I think it's a case of always the bridesmaid with me."
