CANOEING: MEMBERS of Chippenham Sailing and Canoeing Club put their paddles aside on March 18 for a presentation evening on terra firma at the Chippenham Sports Club.
Senior coach Richard Carter was on hand to present the successful canoeists with their British Canoe Union (BCU) one-star and two-star awards.
The awards recognise a progression from basic canoeing skills to more advanced paddling techniques such as sculling supports and Eskimo rescues.
Club secretary Chris Moore said: "It was a very successful evening, which was well attended by members of both sections of the club.
"The idea was to recognise the achievements of the members over the last 12 months, especially the youngsters who have worked very hard to gain their awards."
