AFC TROWBRIDGE Town Youth gained revenge for a 6-0 defeat in January when they gained a 4-1 home win over Down Ampney in the Premier Division on Saturday.
The hosts were quickly into their stride and two goals from Dave Percival in a five minute spell gave them an interval lead. In an eventful second half, Paul Gittens came off the bench to put the finishing touch to an excellent run by Dean Murden and followed up with another a few minutes later.
Ampney failed to help their cause by having Neill Quinn and Mark Harper sent off for two yellow cards, Quinn scoring a consolation before his early bath.
Westside moved into second place in the after defeating title chasing Warminster Town 2-1. It was the second loss in four days for Warminster, who were beaten at Calne Town Reserves in midweek and now seem to have lost any chance of overhauling the leaders. Tom Welsh scored for Warminster.
Leaders Corsham Town Reserves overcame tricky conditions following a deluge before the game to run out 3-0 winners over Melksham Town Reserves. Ross Lye broke down the middle to open the scoring with Jason Walsh adding a second before the break. Walsh added a third after the break.
Junior Division One champions Wroughton kept up their winning sequence with a 4-0 victory over Abbey Rodbourne with goals from Barry Dickens, Mark Bone, Lee Curtis and an own goal.
Stratton Rovers missed a hatful of chances against Castle Combe and paid the penalty in the second half when Chris Yeo snatched a goal to level the scores at 1-1.
