MARK Hodkinson has set his players a new target of 50 points in an effort to keep Bradford's season alive.

The Trowbridge Road club have amassed 43 points so far in their first season back in theToolstation League, a total Hodkinson believes they can improve on in the remaining nine games.

He said: "It's important that we don't let the season fizzle out. There's no point relaxing just because we've surpassed our original target of 40 points. "Setting this new target keeps the season alive and gives the lads something to play for. If we could get to 50 points it would be a great achievement in our first season back in the league."

Hodkinson has promised to rotate his squad in April as players compete for places for next season. He said: "People will get a chance to show me what they can do. As a club we need to be looking to next season already. "I want to bring at least four new players to Bradford in the summer and my task will be much easier if we finish in the top half of the league table."

Bradford are home to Ilfracombe on Saturday and make the short journey to Shrewton on Tuesday night.
