CHIPPENHAM SUNDAY LEAGUE: SECOND Division Parsons Nose captured their fourth Premier Division scalp of this season's presstoprintsponsored Eric Hughes Memorial Knockout cup competition as they beat Corsham Cricket Club 2-1 in Sunday's semi-final.
They will play Biddestone Social in the final at Chippenham Town's ground on April 23.

The cricketers equalised after 55 minutes when Graham Ford unleashed a fierce shot from 20 yards that left keeper Gareth Evans rooted to the spot. Parsons Nose got their winner in controversial circumstances five minutes from time when they were awarded a hotly disputed penalty that was tucked away calmly by Mark James.

BIDDESTONE Social have emerged as the team most likely to catch Corsham Centre at the top of the Premier Division after they defeated defending champions Westbury Rangers A 2-1.
A depleted Biddestone side were forced into playing manager John O'Meara in goal after regular goalkeeper Kevin Reed broke two fingers in midweek.
O'Meara, who had never played in goal before, had a fine match but his life was made easier by Rangers who never really got going until the second half.

Bradford News were unable to make it three wins on the bounce as they suffered a 4-0 defeat at Box Rovers, who took a first minute lead through Richard Newman, whose exquisite chip from what looked to be an impossible angle caught the newsmen cold.

Neither Winsley or the Dog and Fox Ashley were at full strength for their meeting and, with 10 players unavailable, it was no surprise that the Dog crashed to their first loss in six outing as Winsley beat their near neighbours 2-1. Hullavington led 1-0 at the interval, courtesy of Ryan Woodland's strike, but Harriers hit back to win with goals from Cameron Henley and Mark Jones.
