NEIL Kirkpatrick says he has put too much pressure on his young Trowbridge squad to win promotion to the Hellenic Premier Division.
Speaking after Wednesday night's disappointing draw in Cirencester, Kirkpatrick said: "This non-stop talk of promotion has made some of lads feel edgy and you can see that in their play. I have to take some of the blame for that.
"At times I forget that we are a still a young side and that this season has been about rebuilding.
"I want the lads to go out and enjoy their last few games. On our day we are the best passing side in the league if we just learn to relax."
Wednesday's draw leaves the Bees trailing second-place Headington Amateurs by nine points with just one game in hand.
Ian McSherry put Cirencester in front after 15 minutes as Trowbridge struggled to contain their hosts.
A 35 yard strike by Ian Probert ten minutes into the second half saw the visitors slip further behind.
Dan Barnes pulled a goal back for Trowbridge with 20 minutes left before Dave Mitchell converted Adam Nunn's cross in the 85th minute to rescue a point.
