PLAISTER AUTOS WILTSHIRE LEAGUE: LEADERS Corsham Town Reserves were made to fight all the way for their 2-0 home win over Marlborough Town in the Premier Division.
After a goal-less first half, Corsham took the lead when a cross from the right was superbly headed into the top corner by Scott Evans. The home side then made sure of victory by adding a second through Jason Walsh.
Aldbourne held second-in-the-table Westbury United Reserves until five minutes from time when Marc Lanfear evaded three tackles to slot past the keeper for the only goal of the game.
Purton almost caused an upset at home to title challengers Warminster Town.
After a goal-less first half Tom Malcolm struck for the visitors soon after the start of the second half with Warren Fuller putting the side back on level terms from the penalty spot.
With the game in the dying seconds of injury time, Ashley Wain got on the end of a cross from Louis Sparey to snatch the winner for Warminster.
New College also thought they deserved a draw against visitors Melksham Town Reserves after losing 4-3.
Bradley Gill, Steve Peglar and Mark Chatwin were on target for the College and James Taylor (2), Dan King and an own goal for the visitors.
Down Ampney got back to winning ways by beating visitors Bromham 5-1.
Robbie Simmonds hit a hat-trick for AFC Trowbridge Youth who beat Devizes Town Reserves 4-2.
