WARMINSTER Town reached the semi-finals of the Corsham Print Senior Cup when they beat Down Ampney in a penalty shoot-out after the sides had failed to find the net after extra time.
Warminster had the edge in the first half, hitting the post and bar while at the other end Ampney had a strong appeal for a penalty turned down.
After the interval the woodwork came to the aid of the home side who began to tire. With neither side able to score in extra time the game was decided on penalties - both sides netted their first four but Ampney's fifth sailed over the bar.
Westside's quarter-final against AFC Trowbridge Youth was called off for the third week on the trot. Aldbourne were held to a 1-1 draw by Devizes Town Reserves after missing a hatful of chances in the first 45 minutes.
New College dented Westbury United Reserves' title hopes when they held the second in the table side to a 1-1 draw on their own ground. Tom Callan gave the Swindon side an interval lead and the home side had to wait until the 75th minute before getting on level terms through Marc Lanfear.
Bromham lost 5-3 at Purton Reserves, Craig Manley, Gareth Hanna and Kyle Mather scoring for Bromham. In Division One Blyskawica were beaten 5-2 on their own patch by Castle Combe, Tom Kopinsky scoring both goals for the home side
