MELKSHAM Town Youth have claimed the last semi-final place in this season's Wiltshire Times and Chippenham News Mid-Wilts Youth and Minor League under 10s league cup.
A first half header from Brad Butcher gave them victory over Larkhall Athletic in the last of this season's quarter final ties.
UNDER NINES RED DIVISION WORTON and Cheverell took an early lead at Melksham Town Youth when Elliot Bodman volleyed home a cross from Harry Waylen.
Melksham equalised when Mitchell Galley scored from close range, but with ten minutes to go Waylen broke down the right wing and beating three players to slot past the advancing goalkeeper to give Worton a 1-2 lead.
Within five minutes Worton extended their lead when Waylen again broke down the right and crossed for Bodman to claim his second goal.
But for an outstanding man of the match' performance from Luke Abbott in the Melksham defence Worton could have had many more goals.
UNDER 10's BLUE DIVISION TROWBRIDGE Town Cougars won 4-1 at Melksham Park, with James Mortimer scoring a hat-trick and Oliver Nash a single. Jonathan Mead was on target for Park.
Chippenham Town Youth drew 1-1 at Team Bath Arsenal, Jacob Ford scoring for the home side.
UNDER 10's ORANGE DIVISIONFC CHIPPENHAM ran out 4-0 winners at home to Warminster Juniors, with goals from Rory Davis (2), Max Wyatt and Aled Evans.
UNDER 10's YELLOW DIVISION
MARSHFIELD were 8-1 home winners over White Horse Juniors Gems. Thomas Tadd scored for White Horse with keeper John Palfry and defender Liam Roughton named as the joint winners of the man of the match award.
UNDER 11's DIVISION ONE
TROWBRIDGE Town Youth Tigers earned their first win of the season with a 1-0 success at Warminster Highbury. Ryan Underwood scored for the Tigers.
UNDER 11's DIVSION TWO DERRY Hill got off to a great start with an early goal and dominated the first half at top of the table Castle Combe Colts. Colts hit back in the second half to win 3-1, with goals from Daniel Wiseman (2) and Louie Baker.
Bradford Town Youth remain in second place following their 9-1 away win against Trowbridge Town Youth Cougars. Charlie Clarke (2), Duncan Burnside (2), Paul Eaton (2), Tom Wade, Ricky Hehir and Tom Arthur scored for Bradford.
UNDER 11's DIVISION THREE
MELKSHAM Town gained a 2-0 home win over top of the table FC Chippenham, with goals from Tamin Ibrihim (penalty) and Gabby Menghini.
UNDER 11's DIVISION FIVE
MARHSFIELD FC moved eight points clear at the top of the table after running out 5-1 winners away to Bromham. Kealan Finnegan (2), Jack Ashton, Oliver Wittcomb and Oliver Sheppard scored for Marshfield, with an own goal replying for Bromham.
UNDER 12's BLUE DIVSION
WARMINSTER Highbury took a 1-0 lead at the break in their away game against Devizes Town Youth, but Devizes brought the game level in the second half with a superb strike from Aaron Chivers.
FC Chippenham moved to within one point of leaders Trowbridge Town Youth after their 2-1 home win Trowbridge Wanderers. A close first half saw both sides denied by excellent defending. The deadlock was broken when Daniel Heavey gave the home side the lead which was doubled shortly after with a fine strike from Matthew Stevens.
Wanderers pulled one back but Chippenham managed to hold out for the three points.
UNDER 12's RED DIVISION
CASTLE Combe Colts opened the scoring within the first four minutes of their home game against Westbury Youth with an excellent strike from Luke Simpkins. The game was played in difficult conditions with Combe eventual 8-2 winners. Combe's goals came from Oliver Thomas (2), Andy Jobbins (2), man-of-the-match Sam Wozniak and two more for Simpkins for his hat-trick.
Pewsey Vale rounded off their season with an 8-1 home win against Bradford Town Youth. Cameron Amor (5), Chris Milne (2) and Ross Campbell scored for Pewsey.
UNDER 13's BLUE DIVISION
THE odds were against Chippenham Town Youth from the kick-off in their game against visitors Trowbridge Town Youth, having only ten players and having lost their keeper earlier in the season to injury.
Ciaran Stewart stepped up to play in goal and pulled off some good saves but a strong Trowbridge Town went in at half time 3-0 up.
Chippenham battled hard throughout, creating a couple of chances and having a goal from Dan Payne ruled out for offside.
Trowbridge added a fourth goal after the break but Chippenham manager Clive Jenkins was extremely proud of his players for their attitude and for all giving 100 per cent. Man-of-the-match was Ollie Webb for his persistence and all-round performance.
UNDER 13's RED DIVISION
FC CHIPPENHAM maintained their winning ways but were put to the test by a battling Melksham Park 2nds. Ajay Arithoppa put FC Chippenham into a 2-0 lead with two well taken strikes but Aaron Chalice pulled one back to make it 2-1 at half-time. Samuel Copeland got FC's third, but only on the third attempt after a good save by Melksham's keeper. Not long after Lewis Heathcote pulled one back with another long range strike.
Joshua Hodges made it 4-2 to Chippenham with ten minutes to go. Sam Poole, FC Chippenham's last minute stand-in keeper made a fine save from a well taken free kick which was scrambled out for a corner by Jamie Smith and Philip Kersham with only a few minutes left.
Chippenham Town Rangers remain third after running out 5-2 winners at home to Devizes Town Youth. Sam Smith and Matt Volpi scored for Devizes.
UNDER 14's BLUE DIVISION
FC CHIPPENHAM increased their hopes of lifting the title after running out winners away to fellow contenders Trowbridge Town Youth. A close first half saw Chippenham 2-0 ahead before going on to finish 6-1 winners. Harrison (2), Taylor (2), Sibbick and Flynn scored for Chippenham, with Mackinder replying for Trowbridge.
Both Trowbridge Wanderers and Lydiard FC hoped to take all three points in their last game of the season. Lydiard's hard work paid off in the first half to see them go in at the break 1-0 up through Sam Packer. Wanderers battled on in the second half with the equaliser coming through Kyle Morris.
UNDER 14's GREEN DIVISION
TWO goals from Jamie Proctor gave Chippenham Town Youth a 2-1 first half lead in their game at Worton and Cheverell. Ryan Kubilius secured the victory at 3-1 for Chippenham midway through the second half.
UNDER 14's RED DIVISION
THE top three sides all won to keep the championship race wide open. Leaders Melksham Park stay four points clear after running out convincing 9-0 winners at home to Castle Combe Colts White, with goals from Dan Moore (2), Tom Crabtree (2), Josh Williams (2), Alexander Meach, Lee Tuck and Ben Forester.
Second placed Trowbridge Town Youth 2nds went 2-0 up at the break against Amesbury Juniors with goals from James Griffiths and Matty Mills. Amesbury brought the game level in the second half but Karl Buckland secured the points for Trowbridge with just minutes left to play.
AFC Calne remain in third place five points behind the leaders after their 10-1 goal fest against Langford United. Sam Paget (4), Aaron Hopkins (2), Jamie Vancrump (2), Aaron Hopwood and Matthew Smart scored for Calne with Tom Bennett replying for Langford.
UNDER 15's BLUE DIVISION
CASTLE Combe Colts ran out 5-0 winners away to Pewsey Vale. The game was evenly contested despite the score line with both sides creating chances but with Castle Combe more clinical with their finishing. Sam Barrie, Richard Boulter, Jack Smith (2) and Jamie Bartlett scored for Combe.
A hat-trick from Liam Flowers secured a 3-0 win for Trowbridge Town Youth at Salisbury City.
Melksham Town Youth took a 1-0 lead at the break in their home game against Devizes Town Youth. Melksham remained strong at the back throughout the game denying Devizes and increasing their lead to 3-0 at the final whistle. Dan Griffiths, Dan Humphries and Ollie Woodland scored for Melksham.
UNDER 15's RED DIVISION
BRADFORD Town Youth got their season back on track after last week's defeat with a 7-1 away win over AFC Corsham. Bradford played against a strong cold wind in the first half, but defended well and scored three breakaway goals, through Max Willcox and Tom Giles (2).
In the second half further goals followed from Giles, Wilcox, Sam Johnston and Chris Tonkess. Corsham battled on and were rewarded with a late consolation goal after some excellent passing ended in a low shot from Daniel Marshall which was drilled in past the Bradford goalkeeper.
Chippenham Town Youth were dangerous on the attack but vulnerable at the back against Castle Combe Colts which all led to a final score of 10-5 to Chippenham. Fraser Campbell (4) and Arthur Richardson scored for Combe.
Visitors FC Chippenham took the lead against White Horse Juniors but the home side quickly equalised before going on to lead 2-1 at the break. After the break FC brought the game level before regaining the lead at 3-2. White Horse battled on and were rewarded in the final minute with the third equaliser of the game. Johnny Ingram (2) and Paul Cook scored for FC.
Goals from Lee Newman (4), Simon Carter (2), Toby Hitt (2), Nick Bradley and Gary Tugwell gave Westbury Youth a 10-1 win against Amesbury Juniors 2nds. James Wright scored for Amesbury.
UNDER 16'S BLUE DIVISION
TROWBRIDGE Town Youth were made to work hard for the three points by a very strong and well organised FC Chippenham. Ten minutes into the second half a fine cross field pass from Toby Dawson found Sam Jordan who scored at the second attempt to put Trowbridge ahead.
FC Chippenham were unfortunate to see the ball rebound back off the Trowbridge crossbar in the last few minutes and with neither keeper being called upon again Trowbridge saw out the game for a close victory. Referee Philip Miles had an outstanding game.
UNDER 16'S RED DIVISION
SALISBURY United moved up to fourth after running out 4-2 winners away to Pewsey Vale. Ricky Duncan (2), Ollie Hill (penalty) and Kent Kelly scored for Salisbury, with Zak Mayer and Max Wood replying.
An even first half saw Melksham Park level at 2-2 against visitors Worton and Cheverell. Mid way through the second half Joe Scott netted his second to secure a 3-2 victory for the home side. James Glanville also scored for Park.
Castle Combe Colts took a 3-1 lead at the break at Marlborough Town.
Marlborough were back in the game at 3-2 leading to an exciting finish but a fourth goal from the visitors put the game out of Marlborough's reach. Declan Burns (2) scored for Marlborough.
