CHIPPENHAM SUNDAY LEAGUE: JOHN Baker made a triumphant return to the Trowbridge Harriers side on Sunday.

The striker scored a hat-trick in the 3-3 Premier Division draw with Corsham Cricket Club, whose goals came from Martin Ford (2) and Rob Murphy.

Dog and Fox Ashley came from a goal down to beat Maud Heath Sports 5-2.

Steve Roddy (3), Russell Whatley and Mark Robinson scored for the Dog and Fox, with Matthew Waite and Darren Holcombe replying.

CORSHAM Centre suffered their first defeat since April 2003 as they saw their 86 match unbeaten record ended by fierce rivals Biddestone Social whose 2-1 victory booked them a place in the presstoprint sponsored Eric Hughes Memorial Knockout Cup final.

The first goal came after 37 minutes when poor defending by the Centre led to Gary Banks scoring the opener Two minutes after half-time Banks scored his second with a neat header. With 13 minutes left Craig Gingell powered home a header from a corner to reduce the deficit.

Division One.

SPENCER Sports are the new leaders after their 3-0 victory home win over Chippenham Sports and Social Club.

All three goals came in the first 20 minutes, through James Taylor, Dan King and Ralph Plummer.

Holt suffered a second successive set to their promotion hopes as they were held to a 1-1 draw by a battling Horse and Groom side who played the whole 90 minutes with just 10 players.

Stuart Wickens put Horse and Groom in front with his first goal for the club and Holt replied through Alan Fodder.

North Bradley and Chippenham Police shared the points after the boys in blue came from 2-0 down to claim a 2-2 draw. Leigh Trainer scored both goals for Bradley, with Tim Culling and Julian Kirby replying.

Atworth United's 3-1 loss at home to FC Colerne was their ninth game on the trot without a win. Brian Wiltshire was on target for United and Jason Smith (2) and and Jake Jefferies replied.

Division Two.

CHIPPENHAM Town manager Darren Perrin came to the rescue of Parsons Nose when he replaced the injured Gareth Evans in goal.

The Nose were trailing their local rivals Pig and Whistle United 2-1 when Perrin took over the keeper's jersey and he played a major part in the Nose's comeback as they fought back to claim a 4-3 win.

Wayne Bailey, Rick Noonan and Steve Pegler (2) scored for the Nose, with Aaron Richardson (2 one penalty) and Dave Jenkins replying.

Leaders Kings Arms inflicted White Horse FC suffered their biggest ever defeat when they lost 17-1 to leaders Kings Arms.

Scott Askew led the rout with four, Dean Murden, Tarick Yachou and Nathan Flower hit hat-tricks, Sam Simpson scored two and Lee Murden and Jerone Dyer added singles. The carnage came after Dyer scored an own goal to put the Horse 1-0 up.

Kingfisher, played with only 10 men for almost an hour, but held onto second spot with a 3-1 win over Steeple Ashton. John Laye-Sion's own goal set Kingfisher on their way and Luke Stoneham made it 2-0 prior to being sent off for two yellow cards. Nick Still sealed the win before Iljaz Iljazi netted Ashton's consolation in the final minute.

A hat-trick in five minutes from Ian Standing set Virgin Mobile on their way to a 7-0 success over Chippenham United RAOB. Richard Bliha also hit a hat-trick and Matt Stevens scored the seventh.

United finished the game with nine players after Martin Riddell and Darren Tubbs were sent off in the second half.

Wayne Duggen scored his first goal of season for FC Bradford but it was their only consolation as the suffered a 6-1 defeat at home to Southwick Sports who won thanks to goals from Stuart Powell (2), Gareth Colebrook, Stuart Greenwood, Carl Davies and Jamie Alford, with his first goal of the campaign.

Chris Rawlings, Nick Slade, Danny Cocker and Alex Prowting shared Sutton Benger's goals as they beat The Crown Devizes 4-2, who replied through Gary Lavery and Sam Thompson.

Division Three.

BAR OC stretched their unbeaten run to nine games and maintained their one point advantage over AFC Calne at the top with a 2-0 win over WG Parr Trophy finalists Wheatsheaf.

Mark Hulland and John Stockman scored the goals.

AFC Calne remain just behind the leaders, after coming back from 3-0 down to beat Sir Audley's Arms 7-3.

Fascia Graphics returned to winning ways with a 5-1 win over Westbury Rangers B. Steve Coast, Neurin Jones (2), Steve Allison and Steve Harvey scored for Graphics, with Dave Bateman hitting Rangers' consolation.

Pack Horse Rangers picked up their first win in ten outings with a 4-2 triumph over Somerford, who have not won for eight games.

Rowde Dynamos beat Trowbridge Town Supporters' Club 10-0, with goals from Marcus Wallen (5), Jamie Mullens (3) Steve Bush and Rob Mitchell.

Blue Circle crashed to a 6-2 defeat against Corsham Park Rangers to stay just above the relegation area.

Wayne Bristow and Russell Dyer scored for Blue Circle.

Division Four.

DAVE Thomas led the scoring with a hat-trick as leaders The Plough beat The Crown 6-0.

Plough's midfield combination of Ross Pike and Mark Reynolds ran the game and the other goals came from Shaun Percival, Mark Reynolds and Sam Dawson. Dave Percival had a penalty saved by Crown goalkeeper Clive Noyes.

The Southgate Inn hammered Wanderers 10-0. Ashley Clarke hit the woodwork twice for Wanderers but it was the closest they game to finding the net as Southgate scored at will through David Lloyd (3), Nick Lemon (2), Sam Gaiger (2), Andy Combes, Nick Taylor and an own goal from Stuart Parr.

AFC Melksham took on their local rivals AFC Pilot in a game that both sides were desperate to win and it was Melksham who stung high flying Pilot by beating them 4-2. Melksham's goals came from Alex Lock, Andy Harrison Lawrence Brill and former Pilot player Simon Wheeler.

Lee Ridout and Chris Bishop (penalty) replied for Pilot, who had Ian Hall sent off for a rash challenge on Harrison.
