CALNE survived a rough ride at the aptly named Ironmould Lane on Saturday to record their ninth consecutive Premier Division win.
The Lilywhites left Somerset battered and bruised but with three valuable league points from a game that saw six bookings and a red card.
Manager Robbie Lardner said he was proud that the physical approach of the home side did not affect his players' concentration.
He said: "Brislington set their stall out to try to intimidate us. They gave us the impression that they wanted to beat us up.
"But we kept our discipline and in the end they only had themselves to blame. The referee deserves a pat on the back because he was under extreme pressure, with people shouting at him from all parts of the ground."
The Calne woodwork was rattled after two minutes when Mark Byrne unleashed a 20-yard shot against Chris Astley's post.
The Lilywhites took the lead eight minutes later when striker Glenn Armstrong met James Lye's cross to round off a flowing team move.
Brislington ended Calne's eight-game clean sheet sequence when they levelled from the penalty spot after Simon Burns was fouled by Simon Gardner.
A powerful header from Lye five minutes into the second half put Calne back in front before Armstrong sealed victory with a well-taken penalty, his 20th goal of the season.
Burns was dismissed in the final minutes for verbal abuse as the game ended in a flurry of rough tackles.
