Wiltshire County Cricket League Division 8: Winsley 3 v KC Club 2
Winsley’s new third eleven remain unbeaten after their emphatic home victory over a below-strength KC Club 2.
Batting first, Adrian Jeffrey (38) built a solid foundation, Neil Gliddon (42 not out) anchored the innings, and the powerful strokeplay of the younger Winsley players, notably Oli Stacey (30), took the score to 214 for seven.
KC Club made the worst possible reply, losing a wicket to Josh Lewis’s first ball, then collapsing to a fine spell by Tom Giles (four for 9).
Dan Thorne underlined Winsley’s dominance with an outstanding diving catch and a run out with a direct hit from the deep.
In an afternoon they will want to forget, KC Club were dismissed for 66.
