County Cricket League Division 8: Box 2 v Winsley 3
Opting to bat first at Box, Winsley 3 were in trouble at 137 for eight off 35 overs, but impressive late-order strokeplay by Keith Potter (39 not out) and Tom Giles (34) took them to 203 for nine.
The pick of the Box bowlers were Kevin Dolman (3-52) and Gavin Richardson (2-42). Box batted positively in reply, reaching 118 for three after 25 overs.
Malcolm Bond looked supremely confident, hitting five massive sixes, but after he was bowled for 47 Winsley gained the upper hand.
Stephen Chalke took three crucial wickets, Keith Potter held a fine caught-and-bowled, and Box were all out for 169. Tom Giles rounded off a good all-round afternoon with three for 26.
