Cricket: Wiltshire’s MCCA Trophy group match against Devon on Sunday at Trowbridge was abandoned without a ball being bowled because of heavy rain.
There was also no play in the other group match between Berkshire and Cornwall.
This means that the final match in the group between Cornwall and Wiltshire at St Austell on Sunday May 31st will decide the first three places in the group with the top two going into the quarter finals.
At present Wiltshire have played 3 matches and have 5 points and a net run rate of 2.04, Devon have played all their 4 matches and also have 5 points and a net run rate of 0.9502 and Cornwall have played 3 matches and have 3 points and a net run rate of 1.05.
The other teams in the group are Herefordshire 2 points and Berkshire 1 point both from 3 matches and they also play each other on May 31st.
The group winners play at home on 14th June and the runners-up are away.
