Wilts Cricket League Div 5
Warminster 3rds v Cherhill
Warminster won the toss and elected to bat.
S Waterland and G Kitky put on 33 for the first wicket before Gary Vaughan trapped Waterland lbw for 22 for the first of his 3 wickets.
Tight bowling and hard work in the field lead to a slow progression of wickets falling, and despite Kitky's 17 and a quick flurry of boundaries in Myall's 14, Warminster were bowled out for 105 in 35 overs.
Gary Vaughan finishing with figures of 3 for 45 off his 12 overs and E Harrison an excellent spell of 6 overs 3 maidens 3 for 9.
Cherhill started a steady response with Chris Bogg and Iain Hardy putting on 43 for the first wicket before Bogg fell to a fine catch at deep square leg off the bowling of Aylesbury.
This brought G Vaughan in who fell quickly to a mistimed drive. Ginge Mortimer and Hardy then started to push the score along before Mortimer fell to a controversial run out when it appeared the ball was not in the keepers hands when he broke the wicket.
Despite an accurate spell from T Aylesbury of 12-5-22-1 and 3 wickets from captain A Macdonald, Cherhill reached their target for the loss of 6 wickets with Hardy top scoring with 37 just pipping the 30 in the extras column.
