Hengrove Athletic ended Westbury's five match winning run with a 2-1 victory in a game that was affected by a strong, gusty wind.
Westbury paid the price for another sloppy first half performance and Dan Kovacs' second half header wasn't enough to prevent defeat.
Both sides took time to settle with the wind making it difficult to play good football but the hosts opened the scoring with the game's first chance on 13 minutes : the excellent Ben Crewe set up Gary Shorney and he ran clear of Westbury's defence before lobbing the ball over Nick Evans.
Kovacs had a half chance blocked by Scott Gitsham while two scrambles in the goalmouth saw Nathan Hallett and Tarick Yachou fail to get a shot in.
Crewe went close to doubling the lead but his 20 yarder was held by Evans, however it became 2-0 on 28 when Westbury didn't clear their lines and Rob Beno played the ball to Crewe who made no mistake with a composed finish.
There were chances at both ends before half time as Crewe volleyed wide and Mark Young found Kovacs who put the ball off target with Hallett in space to his left.
It was Young who came to the fore with a superb second half performance with several well timed challenges and accurate attacking passes : the first of which came early on but Aaron Billett wasted a glorious chance by firing over from inside the six yard box!
Beno ran onto a loose ball and shot wide before Gitsham played in Marcus Maggs who was denied by Young's clearance.
Westbury built up a spell of pressure around the hour mark and, after Hallett, Kovacs and Seals went close, Billett delivered a great free kick from the left which Kovacs met with a powerful header to make it 2-1.
More good defending by Young prevented an opening for Crewe and Maggs saw Evans parry a strike before he put the rebound horribly high.
Kovacs came close to equalising with four minutes remaining but as he headed Ayton's cross towards goal Richard Jenkins made a fine low save.
