Ten-man Devizes Town were relegated to the Toolstation League First Division after they lost 2-0 to local rivals Corsham Town.
The rock-bottom Nursteed Road outfit held their own in an even first half but Corsham took charge after Kevin Bush, who had been booked in the first minute, picked up his second booking shortly after the break.
Corsham striker Adam Heath finally broke the deadlock midway through the second half and then sealed the victory from the penalty spot 12 minutes from the end, after Craig Fisher had been fouled in the box.
Corsham assistant boss Graham Learmonth was relieved to see his struggling team virtually secure their own survival, but is sad to see Devizes go down.
"It was a tight and tense game. We played reasonably well," he said.
"I think we should be safe now but it's a shame Devizes are relegated.
"It would be good to see all the local teams stay in the division, we enjoy the local derbies, but unfortunately it wasn't to be."
