Rock-bottom Devizes Town were unable to build on their rare midweek win as they were thumped at home by mid-table Wellington.
Town were 4-0 down at half-time and their only consolation was the fact that they conceded just once more after the interval.
Manager Kevin Whitbread said: "We played really poorly today.
"It was just one of those days and we'll have to take it on the chin."
Devizes host local rivals Melksham Town on Bank Holiday Monday and Whitbread added: "Hopefully we will put in a better showing in the derby.
"I don't think we can play much worse than we did today."
