Devizes boss Shaun Moffat says he can see signs of light at the end of the tunnel in their quest to overcome a five-point deficit and avoid relegation.
The Nursteed Road club have been on an awful this season and are without a league win since early November 2009.
However the manager took heart from Tuesday night's narrow 1-0 home defeat to Brislington and feels they may have reached a turning point.
“If we had played like that all season then we would be in mid-table now,” said Moffat.
“The atmosphere in the dressing room was the best I've known it since November.
“I've looked at the fixtures and I can't see Chard and Barnstaple getting too many more points this season, but they are putting money into it which is something we are unable to do now.
“Anyone in the bottom six, right up to Radstock and Corsham, should be looking over their shoulders though at relegation.”
Rob Drown and Andy Coombs have been ruled out for the season but Devizes have the rare luxury of a mostly fully fit squad to choose from for Saturday's fixture.
