Table tennis: Trevor Lloyd is the top seed in all five of the events he has entered at the West Wilts Table Tennis League Annual Championships being held at the League Centre, The John of Gaunt School, Trowbridge this coming Saturday evening and Sunday.
He is the No.1 seed in the Mens Singles, Veterans Singles, Mens Doubles and Veterans Doubles being the reigning champion in all of these events.
However, having now reached the required age, he has entered the Over 50’Cup for the first time and has accordingly been made the top seed in this event also.
The Championships should have been played on 7th and 8th February but following the snowfall on each of the couple of days before, they had to be postponed.
The entries received this year are much the same as last year except for the junior and cadet events which are down and, recognising the quality of the players who have entered, a high standard of play is expected.
