Trowbridge's recent good form continued away to Easington Sports with a well earned 2-1 victory.
With a very hard surface both teams struggled to take control in the first 20 minutes with neither team really creating any chances.
Trowbridge had a half chance when a Dean Barker free kick was blocked by the Easington wall.
Trowbridge did take the lead when in the 25th minute a well worked free kick from the impressive 16 year old Jake Hiscocks was headed back across goal by Daniel Barnes and there was Dean Barker to score his 3rd goal in as many game since his return to the club.
Trowbridge should have double te lead just before half time when Dean Barker was put through but a good stop by Richard Meadows in the Easington goal denied him his second goal of the game.
Trowbridge started the 2nd half brightly and came close when Daniel Barnes headed across goal but there was no finishing touch. As the game became disjointed Trowbridge were made to pay when in the 70th minute, when the Easington winger cut inside and rolled the ball back for Mike Spraull to score from 6 yards out with Easington first real chance of the match.
This kick started Trowbridge back to life and Joe Stradling should have restored Trowbridgeâ?Ts lead when he missed a simple header at the back post following fine work from Guy Rowley.
Trowbridge finally broke Easingtonâ?Ts dogged defending in the 82nd minute when Guy Rowley broke free and he found Lee Murden 6 yards out and he somewhat fortunately slotted home to secure all 3 points for Trowbridge and continue to recent good form.
Paul King said after the game "It was a hard game today,on a very hard surface, neither team could really get to grips with the pitch.
I think we probably deserved all 3 points on possesion !
alone and it was good to see Dean Barker continue his good scoring form.
Dean has made a massive impact since his return to the club with the likes of Tom Berryman, who has been exceptional in goal and Kirk Latham who have also recently signed we now have a squad strong enough to compete in this league."
