Warminster Town were unable to recreate their midweek cup heroics as they dropped two points against lowly Downton.
Town, who reached the final of the Wiltshire Senior Cup on Tuesday with a 2-1 win over Wootton Bassett, were never at their best against their 19th-placed hosts.
The hosts set their stall out to defend but took the lead on the counter-attack, before Ashley Wain equalised for Warminster 20 minutes from the end.
Wain volleyed the ball home from outside the box after Mike Reaney's free-kick had come back off the wall.
The result leaves Warminster sixth in the Wessex League Division One.
