Slow starters Corsham Town could find no way back from their latest slack opening to a match as they lost at home to Brislington.
Town, who hit back from 3-0 down to draw 3-3 at Barnstaple the previous Saturday, found themselves 2-0 down inside the first ten minutes against Brislington.
The visitors netted a clinical far post volley in the eighth minute and then scored a near post header a minute later.
Craig Fisher missed Corsham's best chance after skinning three players and seeing his shot saved.
But despite a good second half display, Corsham lacked the killer instinct to find a way back into the game.
Corsham assistant boss Graham Learmonth said: "We said to the lads before the game not to go 2-0 down to this lot, as there would be no way back because they are a better side than Barnstaple, but that's exactly what happened.
"After that it was probably the best we have played for two or three weeks, but we never really troubled them.
"We probably deserved something for our second half performance but they are a very good, well-organised side and they were tough to break down."
