Warminster Town have progressed to their first Wiltshire Cup final for over 60 years after a fine 2-1 win over Wootton Bassett Town on Tuesday evening.
Jason Guy's side took the lead in the tie, which was played Melksham Town's ground, through James Vincent after nearly ten minutes.
After good work down the right hand side, Tom Baxter cut in and lashed at a shot which appeared to be going wide, but Vincent showed his clinical striking instincts to sneak in at the back post and put his side in front.
Warminster continued to control most of the possession but were pegged back just before half time when Bassett equalised through a looping header.
However they emerged with the second half with renewed determination and Simon Reaney put them back in front on 65 minutes with a similar header, which proved to be the game's decider.
"It was a nervous last 25 minutes," said Warminster boss Jason Guy.
"We've played a lot of games recently and you could see a few tired legs out there.
"We dominated the first half but had it gone to extra time then we may have struggled.
"We're always positive and we are a good team but we do have a small squad."
Wessex League First Division side Warminster will now play Highworth Town or Melksham Town in the final at Hardenhuish Park on April 22.
"We're already preparing ourselves for the slope," laughed Guy.
"I'm sure we'll be underdogs whoever we play against as both sides are in a higher league than us.
"However since we beat Devizes Town, who are a Toolstation Premier League side, in the second round we thought we could do quite well.
"We then beat Calne Town and it has progressed from there.
"The players are excited. Even a couple of days later I'm still getting messages from them all talking about it.
"It's over 60 years since this club reached a Wiltshire Senior Cup final and we can't wait."
