A neat blindside pass from scrum half John Cox found Goldson in support to stroll over under the posts.

Corsham soon responded when their centre powered through 3 tackles to score and with a succesful conversion were back in the game.

With the play now going from end to end a further try was always coming and when Cox found Scott Simmons in support he handed off a defender to score.

With the conversion succesful the game was anybodys going in to half time at 24 - 14 to the CATS.

The second half started with the Corsham pack putting some pressure on the Melksham 8 and they soon had their reward with a try from a 5 metre lineout.

With the game now poised at 24-19 the Cats were hanging on.

Relief was at hand though when a penalty against Corsham for hands in the ruck was converted by Ponsford to wrap the game up 27 -19.
